One Mad Titan: restoring the balance!

Once you are old enough to understand and you let everything be as it is, you will start feeling all the villains you came across were on point. But technically not everyone, someone with a maniac mission, possibly justified in his defense. That is how encountered this big mad Titan as a hero, not really..., let's say I felt his perception is practical.

A wise man once said, we all hero in our stories; totally acceptable. So as to Thanos, his only mission was to restore the balance in the universe is where he claims himself as an unsung hero; where we call him a 'tyrant'. Precisely, this bad guy is not interested in showoff his wealthiness or even claiming all the power; actually where most of the villains do; this is what separates him from others.

What did he want? What is the gain here? Thanos in the name of love so bothered about the overpopulation. Wanted to prevent the planets' destruction due to overpopulation, generate an abundance, at the same time calling to end poverty and ultimate, inevitable annihilation. And to complete his mission he sacrificed his adopted daughter, Gamora. So, Thanos, the hero, by just wiping out half of the universe and letting the better halves somehow survive, is where we should think how merciful he is.

All his intention makes sense when you start thinking about our planet, Earth. Overpopulation caused civilization and industrialization, such as fulfilling all requirements for upcoming generations and changing the environment for base construction. Fewer people should point out more food and less hunger, and overcrowd may reduce the risk of infection when activating the spread of the disease, but this kinda questionable point all because of a speedy journey of Covid-19. Biodiversity... we are losing it. Various animals and plants are now been threatened with ruination. Therefore, the so-called balancing theory would help us. Whatsoever, many of us are like Tony Stark, we are not convinced of Thanos' perspective and never wanted to be.

Hope you like whales, cute little ones especially. In Endgame, while talking to Natasha, Captain mentions swimming whales; fewer ships; cleaner water. Does it ring a bell? Some factors without any hesitation contribute to the endangered status of whales: dam constructions, pollution, and commercial whaling. However, after Thanos snapping, traffic was reduced in both land and water, so yeah, fewer ships giving space to whales. I believe you would have figured out the cleaner water theory now. Endgame is sufficient evidence to show that how the 'genocide king' theory would have helped animals.

Well, Titan king was aware of what he is performing was completely evil but to achieve the greater potentials. He knows that every action reacts. This is why his hardest choices consist of the strongest wills. While Avengers felt guilty for the grief of survivors, Thanos was living peacefully alone because he believed that he had achieved and conferred benefits to the universe. If we consider the carrying capacity of the earth, overpopulation becomes a controversial concept. No one can justify it because there are no scientific pieces of evidence to prove it.

For me, it is hard to picture what would occur to the ecosystem if 50% of us suddenly wiped out. Earth has faced 5 mass extinction occasions and every time we bounced back. So, what is next? 6th occasion caused by human activities. Deal with your own consequences or just die is what Thanos meant by 'You could not live with your own failure and where did that bring you back to me?'

Some might wonder, why Thanos was contracting Loki for this restoring balance project. Pretty simple, Thanos the Titan king is a leader with backup plans. We knew that once Loki accomplished his mission, will have the chance to rule the survivors of the earth after the snap. The backup was a little bit subtle; it is like this, if not Loki then the Ultron. If Loki failed, apparently yes, the mind stone goes to someone, of course, Tony stark. And Stark came with the Ultron plan which was created successfully. So once, Ultron, the stones' intelligence will turn against humankind and take over the earth and infinity stones, Thanos will arrive. WOW!

Unfortunately, all the plans, including the backup foiled by Avengers. Hence, the Mad Titan realized it was his showtime, and he wanted to do it by himself. This is something we should learn from Thanos, that it is always better to do our needs without excepting a hand; but if you got a hand to help you without any expectations, you are truly lucky.

The mad Titan considered himself as a savior of the Universe; assembling the infinity stones and using them to restore the balance was his destiny. Selfless mission to benefit the entire universe. Thanos's unbreakable will and everything he did whatever it takes to fulfill his destiny is terrifying about him.
